YOUTH & STUDENTS
1st Youth strives to create a safe, welcoming and fun space for students to grow closer to Christ and to each other.
Whether it's Sunday School or a trip out to the Lake at the end of summer, it is great to see when students come together as part of their journey in faith.
We welcome ALL students in grades 6 through 12 to be a part of 1st Youth Ministries where they can grow in faith and connect with others.

ONGOING SUMMER ACTIVITIES
Youth Sunday School happens in Wesley Hall on the Lower Level of the Church each Sunday in Rooms 147 & 151 . This weekly gathering for students in 6th - 12th grades happens at 9:15 am. Sunday School includes time for breakfast, games, a Bible lesson and prayer just before the 10:30 am Traditional & Contemporary Worship Services.
Summer Sunday Life Groups
happen on Sundays from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm during the summer months (except June 14th and July 5th), Time together will include dinner, hanging out, staying connected and a time for sharing testimonies and participation in small group devotionals.
ONGOING ACTIVITIES (STARTING IN THE FALL)
Rise and Shine happens on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 8:00 am (in the fall when school resumes). This is a time of devotion and prayer and is a great way to begin a school day. And there's free breakfast too! Rise and Shine meets in Wesley Hall (on the upper level) each Tuesday when school is in session.
Youth Gathering & Dinner happens each Wednesday (in the fall when school resumes) as part of the Wednesdays at 1st programming. The group meets in Room 151 and/or 147 at 5:00 pm.
Youth Music programs (choir & handbells) meet each Wednesday (in the fall when school resumes) night at 6:00 pm.
Wednesday Night Bible Study happens each Wednesday (in the fall when school resumes) as part of the Wednesdays at 1st programming. The study begins at 6:00 pm in Room 151 and/or 147.

PHOTO GALLERIES
One of the biggest youth events happens in January each year over in Pigeon Forge. Resurrection is a weekend worship centered event that draws thousands of youth from the region and is a ministry of the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church.
In July 2025, several of our youth took a trip out to the new Covenant Health Stadium in Knoxville to watch the Smokies play baseball. Check out the pictures in our gallery.
