The church is located at 804 Montvale Station Road across from Maryville Junior High School.
The main church office, the pastors' offices and most of the staff offices are located in the hallway behind the Sanctuary and are easily accessed from the entrance with the covered pull through (called the Porte Cochere). Just look for the sign for "Church Office" and go through that door.

The church office is located on the left side of the building as you enter from Montvale Station Road. Just look for the Church Office/Elevator/Wesley Hall sign to guide you inside.

Worship is an integral aspect of the discipleship journey, but it's only part of it. Do you feel that you are not equipped for the road ahead? Or are you searching for solutions to problems encountered along the way? Here at 1st UMC, there are many ways to become EQUIPPED with essential tools to use along your path
1st Kids Ministries
Through the teaching of Biblical principles, 1st Kids programming helps gear children up to grow closer in their relationship with Christ. Programs include:
- Sunday School
- Kids Own Worship
- Confirmation Classes
- and opportunities for kids to participate in the mission work of the church.
If your child plans on attending Sunday School or Kids Own Worship will you please fill out
the Child Information Sheet either online
or at the 1st Kids Welcome Desk on the lower level.
1st Youth & Student Ministries
Students in 6th through 12th grades are welcome to be a part of 1st Church's vibrant youth programs.
This is a community:
- devoted to God,
- excited to serve,
- open to new and different people,
- and eager to make anything fun.
Throughout the year there are regular weekly meetings and special get togethers aimed at
building fellowship and community.
Sunday School for All Ages
Sunday School is an integral part of the faith journey and it's a long standing tradition at 1st UMC. The Sunday School time each week is from 9:15 am until 10:30 am. There are classes for children ages 3 to 103 (or even older 🙂).
Nursery Services
Nursery Services are available on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday Evenings. They are available for children
ages 3 and under.
Bible and Book Studies
Are you looking for ways to get to know and experience God, connect with others and serve as a Christian disciple? Small groups and studies are a great way to do that.

1st United Methodist Church - Maryville is part of a global denomination rooted in hundreds of years of history. The church is part of the Holston Annual Conference (stretching from Chattanooga, TN to Radford, VA) as well as the Smoky Mountain District within that Conference.
